The Yoga Classes
WELCOME TO PENINSULA YOGA CLASSES
In classes expect to receive precise and guided instruction for postures that align the body and mind in harmonious movement. Postures - the asana - are adjusted through the use of props and supports to meet the needs of each individual. All classes include deep relaxation. Over time physical benefits are realized in postural improvement, increased strength, tone, flexibility and balance thus one also experiences relief from pain. The attention to precision brings focus and concentration allowing participants to release mental tension and learn how to better deal with the stress of daily life.
Please wear comfortable clothing to class and know that the practice of yoga requires bare feet so there will be no slipping.
Please do not eat a meal just before coming to class.
Please refrain from using perfumes and scented soaps as some people experience allergic reactions.

SCHOLARSHIPS
In keeping with the philosophy of the PYCS, a Scholarship Fund has been established for student and instructor members.
Scholarships are available to students or instructors who wish to further pursue the practice and study of Iyengar Yoga in the form of workshops, conferences, classes, professional development, etc.
Applications and nominations should be directed in writing to the Scholarship Committee of the PYCS.
All Paid in Full members of PYCS are eligible.
The Scholarship Committee will consider all requests. Any awards given will be at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee.
